Mark, This piece is worthy of an archival look, which I'm glad I did. The way that you call out the topics of genesis (and the question of creation from nothing or from something), of khan v. adam's ancestral line, and of the span of God's existence ... is, I think, reflective of the very thing your writing represents: that humans are created in the image of God (and in a way, our words--your words here specifically, are said in the image of "the Word is God). I'm no theologian and I'm sure smarter people can put this better, but to me this shows that words are manifestations of man and man is manifestations of God. This, I think, is exactly the purpose of the written word. Your written word. Hope you're well this week? Cheers, -Thalia

Thanks, Thalia! I appreciate your kind words and reflection here. I wrote this essay years and years ago, so I'm glad it's still beneficial to you! I entirely agree, the Word (Logos) is a great way to think about how we're made in God's image. Thanks for reading :)
